Application icon

The icon is used to generate the adaptive icons, the monochrome icon, the notification icon and the splash screen.

Requirements

  • PNG, JPEG or WebP.
  • Square (width = height) and at least 512 × 512 px.
  • 512 KB at most for an icon provided in the dashboard.
  • Preferably with a transparent background: a fully opaque icon gives a solid monochrome icon.

Priority order

  1. The icon provided in Configuration › Appearance.
  2. Otherwise, your PWA manifest icons, from the largest to the smallest.

If the build fails because of the icon

The codes ICON_UNAVAILABLE, ICON_NOT_SQUARE or ICON_TOO_SMALL mean the manifest icon cannot be used. Provide a valid icon in Configuration › Appearance then rerun the build: you do not have to change your code.
